Melbourne, Day 1

Blijf op de hoogte en volg Justin

Malaysia was short but sweet. It was nice to stretch our legs, so it wasn't really a big deal. Besides, Tim needed to go to the toilet (and was not really keen on the hole in the floor ;)). After a passport and ticket check (where they talked Bahasa to Justin, assuming he was Malaysian or Indonesian, hooray for his appearance), we got aboard again.
Our 3rd and final flight was a bit annoying. We were already worn out from the first two flights, and another seven hour flight to Australia was just plain exhausting.
In the end, we had a 20-30 minute delay because of a (false) alarm at the air traffic control tower at Tullamarine Airport. This means we needed to hover around Broken Hill... Finally, we landed at 1:15 am this morning. After immigration check, luggage check and customs (apparently, our luggage didn't need to be screened with x-rays, as we came from the Netherlands - customs did ask why we did NOT bring Gouda Cheese, as he really liked it). ;)
And then we passed through the gates and met Sandra, Justins cousin (after just missing her, as we were a bit tired and not paying attention at all). Fun thing is that she expected him to be much taller - yeah right, he wish ;). Haha,
After a short drive to Pascoe Vale (as that is where she currently lives), we got greeted by Buddy, her dog, and had a little chat and we went to bed (before taking a refreshing shower) for a good night rest.
We got up at 10:00 am again, for some breakfast and in the meanwhile some visitors came to see the house (as the house is currently for sale). Mind you, Melbourne is quite cold with 10 degrees and all doors open because of the visitors!
Alright, we decided Terry (Sandra's Husband), Tim and Justin should go to the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Grounds) to see a real live match between Collingwood and Richmond, to Australian Rules Football, as Justin plays it himself. We were pretty amazed by the crowd (with 66727 attendents). Because Terry and Sandra has a season pass, we only needed to buy one ticket ($30 AUD). It's so cheap here! Even though the match wasn't that good, it was magnificent to see it up all that close. After the match, we took the tram back home and got picked up by Sandra again. After some tea, we got some pizza and watching the match West Coast Eagles-Carlton FC at home.
Well, tomorrow we'll see Justins side of the family (at least the Victorian side of the family). We'll post a fair few photos now.
