(English only again, sorry)

Hi Guys, we're almost at the end of our journey throughout Australia. Monday, August 9th, we were with Vince, Stace, Jai and Tahlia. Vince took us to the Gold Coast/Surfers Paradise, were we shopped for some souvenirs. Tim got nice gadgets, and Justin bought 7(!!) footies (fyi: 5 Sherrins for Aussie Rules and 2 Steedens for Rugby League -- customs will love them ;)). We went to the Q1 Deck where we had this gorgeous panoramic view of the Gold Coast. It is such a different environment compared to the cities. It's all green, and water flows in rivers through all places. Next, we went to the Casino where we won at first, but lost it all later on.

In the evening, back at home, we had this lovely indoor bbq-style dinner, including beer and baileys (muhaha) and we burned all those calories again with Jai and Tahlia with Just Dance, a wii game.

We hopped in our beds and got up at 5:30 again. This day, Tuesday August 10th, Vince brought us to Brisbane Airport, where we checked us in very swiftly and got on the airplane to Mackay.

Mackay is a very small countrytown albeit it has 130,000 inhabitants. Its looks are so different, as the mining and sugarcane industries (and its population) determine the whereabouts. Steven and Isaiah picked us up at the airport and they welcomed us indeed. After a brief ride (5 minutes I reckon), Rebecca welcomed us in their new house in Ooralea. It's quite similar to the VINEX houses in Netherlands (newly built), but different at the same time. Just a modern bungalow, you could say!

After a short rest, the three of them took us to The Leap, a mountain, with the story of an indigeneous aboriginal who was driven to the summit by the colonial ancestors and jumped of with her baby. They also showed us their parcel uphill where they will built their future house. It was quite a bumpy ride! Next, we had this yummy lunch in Outback Jack, full of steak :).

After a pitstop at home, we went with Rebecca to pick up Nehemiah and Sakimah from school and it was so good to see them again so cute! We dropped Sakimah off at Gymnastics and went out for groceries. We picked up Sakimah again and went to home and Rebecca cooked us with her friend a very yummy and fancy dinner. We ate kangaroo meat, which was very tasty. The texture is so soft, but it's low-fat I reckon.

We completed the evening with doing a lot of games (including trampolining) with Keemi, Miah and Isaiah and went (too late) to bed.

Today, August 11th, we faced some really difficult times to get out of bed at 5:00, as we have been going to bed late and got up early for the past days. This time, Bec & Steve arranged us a boat trip around the Whitsunday Islands, which is at the southern part of the Reef. We needed to drive for almost 1h45m in the pouring rain. It didn't stop raining until 10:30, unfortunately.

At 8:00, we got up the sailing ship/boat and we had our 10 hour ride across the seas. We were exhausting, but the cake, biscuits and tea made it all up. Not to mention the beautiful sights there were. It was all cloudy and windy, but we were able to go snorkelling near Hook Island, which was awesome. Later on, we disembarked the ship to spend the time at pearl white beaches at Whitsunday Island itself. The sun broke through, which made it very pleasant to teach Tim Aussie Rules handpassing and frisbeeing. Back at the boat at 14:00, we could start with our bbq right immediately, which was oh so good, as we were quite famished. Later on, we exchanged photos and e-mail addresses to two Chinese and one Malaysian girls and we got off in Airlie at 18:00. Took the Transfer bus and got into our motel room.

Now, we are going to have some dinner here and get a long night rest.

Cheers mates!
