London Baby!

Hi everybody,
Ramona and I are safely in Arash' cousins house in North London. Actually, it's not too far away from Alexandra Palace, the place where all Dutch medal victors are celebrated.
At 18:50, we arrived at Schiphol Airport, where Tim waved us goodbye. Surprisingly, when we were at Starbucks, Justins friend Raoul showed up all of sudden - he did see Justins check-in at foursquare after all ;). After some chit-chatting, a rocky road marshmellow cake and a caramel frappuccino later, we went to the check-in desk to drop off our luggage. Despite the lengthy queue, it went quite fast. After checking in, we passed the immigration and were just looking for a place to eat. After a while, we boarded the plane swiftly and took off at 21:20-ish.
only 45 minutes later we descended on London Luton Airport. After immigration, luggage reclaim (we were one of the first!) and custom check, we picked up our train tickets, took the shuttle bus to Luton Airtport Parkway Train Station. There we had to wait some 15 minutes, before taking a 30-minute train ride to St. Pancras.
GOD we are SOOOOO happy to be here. The fact that there are so many people dressed in their country's flags, makes us smile. Ramona never went to London, so she was very impressed :).
Since we had our Oyster Cards already, we quickly took the Underground (before taking pictures at St Pancras and the Olympic Rings, although we attempt a second shot tomorrow) and headed for Turnpike Lane.
There, we were greeted by Amir, Arash' cousin, and after a 10-minute walk, he showed us his apartment. After some nice long talks, he went straight to his girlfriend, and now, we're just preparing for tomorrow.
Tomorrow, we head for Wembley Arena, and we leave the house at approximately 9:00. The first Rhythmic Gymnastics event commences at 12:00, but it is advisable to show up two hours prior to the start. So, there we go.

Geniet er maar lekker van Justin je hebt het verdient :), na al die jaren van hard studeren en ellende nu een goede baan, nieuw huisje en volgende maand naar je Opa... ben jij wel degene waar ik héél héél erg trots op bent. Dikke kus ook aan je Big Sister.
